Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and discovered her love to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks after her first attempt. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school signing a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. A year later Felix was awarded her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by running 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third of each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
