Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. After making her film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was a model when she was approached. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam called the Hitler Diaries. When she moved to Hollywood Doody was an international star. The decision was made to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman and was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody's return to the big screen came in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. in 2004, Doody appeared with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody filmed a role in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. In 2011, she was scheduled to play the lead role in The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons.
